Shanza Waseem is a PhD candidate at the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, West China Second University Hospital, Sichuan University. Her research is based at the Key Laboratory of Birth Defects and Related Diseases and the Laboratory of Stem Cell & Embryo Development. Her doctoral work focuses on developing novel stem cell therapies for female reproductive disorders, with a specific emphasis on applying CRISPR engineering to create immune-evasive mesenchymal stem cells for treating Asherman syndrome. With a background in reproductive biology, her research aims to bridge the gap between genetic engineering and clinical application to develop accessible, "off-the-shelf" cell therapies for endometrial regeneration.
